Review: Keep in touch with your friends through IM applications is a very common activity for many years. Among the big names in the industry, there are some lesser-known tools such as QIP Infium that is at least as good. This application is specifically designed to allow users to chat using multiple protocols simultaneously. These include Jabber, ICQ, AOL, IRC and others. Installing the program is not difficult, but be very careful during the installation because the package comes with third-party software that can change the settings of your web browser. You have to be a computer expert to use it, but you still have to know how to set up a Jabber account, for example. In most cases, however, all about writing your username and password. With the help of QIP Infium use Google Talk, Orkut, LiveJournal, Facebook and Twitter accounts from the same window. It supports many more services that you will experience when you use the Add account. There is a very rich stock of menus that allow you to change a lot of options, including the list of contacts, events, history or spam. You can set audio and interface configuration and management interface, shortcuts and connectivity features in the same menu. QIP try on multiple networks and although initially had some minor problems getting used to the program does a pretty decent job after all. It has everything you need for file transfers for voice calls and call log to make it consistent with other messaging solutions. You still have to do some settings, however, as during our tests we found some things that are rather less common for inappropriate instant messaging application. For example, you can send messages using the Enter key when you activate a specific function for this purpose, otherwise, press Ctrl + Enter to send a message. In short, Infium QIP is a wonderful instant messaging solution if you have some free time to configure it. This tool provides very good support for multiple networks and protocols and come with a strong feature set, so at least worth a try if and finding new instant messaging client.
